So, having said all that, I feel your spider's silk might be too simple. For example, the silk on the spider - that silk looks lovely. It's light, it's ethereal, it's beautiful. The silk hanging from the ceiling looks a little like well, like they were simply establishing lines, not the real thing. It's too strong without a sense of glisten or lustre to it. It is also without shape - if you look, the silk lines are all parallel to each other, they do not droop or hang - they're just dashes.
