I promised something. So here is a little bit older painting, done about a month ago. Little bit retouch before upload. Hope you like it. It was fun to do it.
At first it looks like a snow coverd area but at second glance it looks like the area is covered in spider webs. The play with light and shadow supports the second impression. I know that very powdery snow can have the same effect but it looks very much like spider webs. Also the light makes the whole scenery very much alive like it is a sudden, bright beam of light to present the observer the scenery. The archway is very simple the two snakeslike pillars strike one odd as they should be resembeled to warmer terrain. Maybe Dragons as a resemblence to the dragonships of the norseman. I am not sure what to think of this as it is very much alive but still with the snow and stone scene combined. I think without the light it would have a much more forsaken gravelike appaerence. The comment does not give any help where you were aiming at with this piece. It is a good work of art for sure but yet troubling my mind.
